What it costs

Most of the churches we serve are small and have limited resources.  For this reason we do not make a specific charge for our services.  We do expect any church inviting us to help them in any way to pay expenses as set out below and, if possible, to make a donation according to means.

Churches that are able to be more generous enable us to help those who cannot afford so much.  Finance should never be an issue in deciding whether to invite us or not.

EXPENSES

Please ask for a summary of costs before confirming an invitation.  If you have difficuty over meeting even these let us know and we will see if we can still help you.

Travel: Usually we travel by care because of equipment we bring. We suggest 35p per mile for the return trip.  Sometimes more than one client can be included in a journey and so costs can be shared.  If it is possible to use public transport this will be cheaper but you will then be responsible to ensure mobility once we are with you.

Accommodation and hospitality: Usually this is provided in the homes of local Christians and you will need to arrange that.  If you cannot arrange accommodation in this way please let us know.

Consumable materials:  There may be a small amount of printed materials that will be used.  For children's activities thare are sometimes other items used for activities.  We will quote a figure for these in advance.

DONATIONS

Whatever you are able to give will be appreciated.  The services we will give you will be the same whether you give much or nothing at all!

Some churches provide a facility for their members to make donations and then top this up if necessary.

Often a certain amount of time has to be spent in preparation and follow up in addition to the time we spend with you and in travelling.  Give prayerful thought to what you consider appropriate even if it was at the minimum wage level.

The real costs of providing our services is underwritten by our team of faithful regular supporters.  You might like to consider whether your church could become a partner with us in this way for a year or so as part of your missionary giving.
