Bob has a passion for helping people discover and follow Jesus, and for seeing churches equipped, encouraged and confident in sharing God's love with their communities.
With over 25 years of experience in Christian ministry and leadership, Bob has worked nationally across mission, evangelism, children, youth and families ministry. His previous roles include senior leadership positions with Youth for Christ and Scripture Union, alongside extensive involvement in national Christian events, conferences and festivals. He holds an MA in Mission and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI).
Bob became CEO of Rural Missions in March 2024 and has led the charity through an exciting period of development and growth. This has included expanding the team, strengthening national partnerships, developing new resources and training, and bringing children, youth and families ministry into the heart of the organisation through its merger with The Resources Cupboard.
A regular speaker, preacher and broadcaster, Bob is passionate about helping churches recognise the opportunities already on their doorstep. He believes that every church, however small, has something valuable to offer and that rural communities deserve to be at the heart of the Church's mission.
Alongside his work with Rural Missions, Bob is actively involved in leadership at Ashwood Church in Nottinghamshire. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his wife Bec and their son Reuben, a good cup of coffee and the occasional board game.
